Founder, Neurodivergent Advocate & Educator
With over 10 years of experience in the field, Alex Detzner is a passionate Behavior Analyst dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families. Holding a Master’s degree in Special Education from University of Washington, and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Alex specializes in Neurodivergent advocacy, inclusion, and belonging.
After 6 years as a behavioral analyst, and over 15 years in disability advocacy, Alex opened AND to meet a need she didn’t see supported by the field; behavior analytic support and services driven by lived experience and understanding.
As an Autistic and multiply neurodivergent professional herself, Alex brings a unique perspective to her work, emphasizing the importance of self-advocacy and authenticity for every client. She employs a trauma-assumed approach, ensuring individualized care to the client or organization’s unique experiences and needs.
Alex believes in empowering and uplifting the voices of all Autistic individuals and working collaboratively with families to find customized strategies that best support each individual’s growth and well-being. Committed to parent education and client empowerment, Alex provides resources and guidance to help families navigate support needs with confidence.
